The 'Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros' (CCS), is an instrument that services the Spanish insurance sector, with an extensive historical background.
It is a public business organisation that is attached to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business, through the General Directorate for Insurance and Pension Funds. It performs many functions within the insurance field, and amongst which those related to coverage of extraordinary risk, compulsory vehicle insurance, combined agricultural insurance and liquidation of insurance companies stand out.

Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros (CCS) has just published its 23rd issue of the Consorseguros Digital Magazine (www.consorsegurosdigital.es), which we hope will be of your interest.
This issue focuses on the insurance management of the historical floods at the end of October 2024, which particularly affected the Province of Valencia.

Based on the reports issued by the Spanish Weather Service (AEMET) in accordance with the Regulations of the Extraordinary Risk Insurance, it has been confirmed between March and November 2025 there were ten episodes of strong winds, seven of which were windstorms and three were tornadoes, in addition to those already published in the previous briefing note of 29 September 2025.
