Purpose of the website and general conditions of use

The World Forum of Catastrophe Programmes provides a gathering place for various different natural catastrophe insurance systems from around the world that have public participation. The potential usefulness of sharing information of this kind to other institutions, organisations and the public in general who are interested in managing natural catastrophes, particularly as regards insurance cover for such hazards, led those involved in the World Forum of Catastrophe Programmes to set up this website. The participants in the World Forum of Catastrophe Programmes entrusted the Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros E.P.E. with developing and running the website. The Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros E.P.E. therefore makes this website available to internet users with the aim of fomenting a voluntary exchange of ideas, experiences and practices as regards insurance schemes for natural catastrophes in the world that can draw on public involvement.
