From super typhoons and mega earthquakes to flash floods, landslides, and the creeping rise of sea levels, the Asia-Pacific region continues to bear a disproportionate share of global disaster losses. In fact, more than 40% of the world’s reported natural disasters occur in Asia, making the region one of the most exposed and vulnerable. The Asia-Pacific and African region experienced total losses of US$91 billion from natural disasters in 2024, much higher than losses that amounted to US$66 billion the previous year. 

Rendez-Vous de Septembre (RVS) - 67th edition

6-10 September 2025 | Monaco

RVS was founded in 1957. The four-day event brings together in Monaco more than 3,000 insurance, reinsurance, brokerage and risk management professionals from 80 countries. RVS also attracts many lawyers, financial advisors and specialist journalists.

As the largest gathering of the profession, it gives participants an opportunity to debate key issues and discuss changes in the market. It also marks the beginning of annual negotiations to renew reinsurance contracts. Finally, it helps to forge high-level contacts which often result in the conclusion of strategic agreements.

FERMA 2025 Seminar
